October 2017

We have been celebrating Autumn by collecting the apples from the tree at the front of the school and making apple juice. Mrs Rippon kindly came in with her juicer and the children were fascinated.

We had a fabulous walk around Pocket Park looking for signs of Autumn. The children were excited when they squeezed through a tunnel of leaves and discovered a wood. The trees swayed dramatically in the wind and the leaves twirled their way to the ground. The children are now writing reports of their visit using sequencing words, 'first'; 'then'; 'next' and 'finally'.
