The run up to Christmas has been a busy but exciting one.
We have thoroughly enjoyed reading The Iron Man and compared it to film The Iron Giant. There were many things which were very different, the characters and the plot were the biggest surprise. We voted for which we preferred and the majority of Ash class preferred the book because it had more detail and they liked the ending better.
In maths, Ash class have worked very hard on their written methods for addition, subtraction and multiplication. We have also been very keen to practise our times tables, many earning more multiplication awards. Well done!
In the ICE Zone year 4 have really enjoyed learning about the Tudors, especially King Henry VIII. Many children visited the apothecary with various illnesses.
Thank you to all the children who made Christmas tree decorations; they look beautiful on the tree. The of the winner of the competition for best designed decoration was Ethan. Congratulations!
All of KS2 attended St Mary's church in the town centre for the Christmas Carol Service. The children sang beautifully and represented the school proudly. In addition, Year 4 performed their dance and song in the end of year performance with such confidence and enthusiasm.
