The month of December always brings with it a lot of fun. The children are busy practising their Christmas songs for the Nativity and are so excited for the performance. We will be doing lots of Christmas and winter-themed work in class including making snowflakes, Christmas cards and decorations as well as our usual writing activities each week. We will be looking at a range of stories including ‘The Elves and the Shoemaker’ and the ‘The Jolly Postman.’ In maths, we have been learning more about number 4 and 5 and have even started to add numbers together. The children have been really enjoying our practical activities.
We had so much fun playing in the snow. The children made snow mountains, balls and just loved exploring the fluffy white snow. It was pretty cold so we couldn’t stay out for too long, but it was wonderful for a while.
