January 2021

Hello everyone!
I hope you are all well and excited to start your new week of home learning tomorrow!

The format for the new home learning will mean that:

-We have a daily check-in at 9am each morning via Zoom, where we can have a chat and talk through what is expected for that day. On Class Dojo, you will find the link to the meeting; this will be the same link for every day.
This is optional however it would be really lovely to see you all again.

-I will upload a new timetable once a week with an outline of the lessons for each day. This will always be ready for you to start your day on a Monday.

-Each day I will upload the videos, links and any documents, that you need for the day's lessons, to Class Dojo.

Although I will be uploading documents/worksheets, there is NO expectation that you need to print these out. All of the work can be done from the screen (tablet/computer/mobile phone). All you will need is a pen or pencil and a notebook/paper for each lesson.

-In addition to the online lessons, I will still be expecting you to read for a minimum of 10 minutes per day at least 5 times per week and 45 minutes of Maths Whizz per week.

-In the morning, Mrs Ashcroft and I will be online (Class Dojo) to approve any portfolios and give feedback. I am expecting all work completed to be uploaded on Class Dojo. Parents - as Year 6s, the children could do this themselves as I know many of you are still working from home also. I will be checking daily to make sure that ALL children are busy completing work.

- In the afternoons, I will still be available, however I will be filming lessons for the days to come during this time so may not respond straight away!

-I would also like you to make sure that you are keeping fit and healthy during this time so please make sure to keep taking your daily exercise outside of the house: this could be a bike ride, a run or a walk. I would like it if you could also set aside some time in the day to do either some yoga, Joe Wicks or Just Dance on YouTube :).

Lastly, Mrs Ashcroft and I are really missing you all! I know that things are very hard right now, but we will get through this together; it is only for a little while and I am always here for you!

Take care, rest up and I will see you in the morning!

Miss Gardner :)
