Art and Library Trip
On Monday we did Art with Mr Shevki. The children painted some beautiful pictures of apples. They enjoyed experimenting with various colours and painted different interpretations of what they could see. Some of which you can see in the pictures uploaded on this page.
On Thursday we had a trip to the library, which was very exciting for all of us, including the Teachers. The children were so enthusiastic about the trip. They behaved really well and learned a lot about the library. Lots of the children took their time looking through the books and chose one book to take home with them. Hopefully all the children enjoyed their trip as much as we did and they will continue to use the library in the future.
Music
We practiced using glockenspiels and following pentatonic melodies. This was a hard task, but the children enjoyed testing out the instruments, as you can see in the videos.

Glockenspiel practice

English and PSHE
We have been reading Oliver and the Seawig in English and learning about speech in stories. The children are enjoying this story and learning about the characters. They have really improved on writing speech, interpreting and predicting stories and using punctuation in the correct places.
In PSHE we have been doing some meditation and yoga poses to practice relaxation. The children put a lot of effort in to trying out each pose and I have included some photos of the best poses. Another area we looked at in PSHE was what makes us amazing and building confidence in ourselves. The children each wrote a Kenning poem about themselves that identified their positive attributes.
