Hello everyone and welcome back!
We are now on the road to the summer! That means we only have a few weeks left at Middlefield Primary Academy before we head off to secondary school!
Before we think about saying our goodbyes, we still have lots of fun and exciting learning to do! This half term, we have our Young Voices WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT, the Garden Party, Reward and (fingers crossed) HILLTOP!
In this half term we will continue with our swimming lessons every Wednesday, which I know the children look forward to every week. We will also start Sex and Relationships Education (SRE), where the children will learn not only about the changes that are/will happen to their bodies over the next few years - both emotionally and physically - but also the changes they will face in their daily lives such as going to secondary school. In these lessons, we will be encouraging the children to talk and express their feelings and emotions in order to help develop resilience and good mental wellbeing for helping with the challenging times ahead.
Please also remember: things are now heating up and the weather is changing to that glorious summer we all deserve! Please ensure your child wears sun cream to school and has a sun hat and water bottle every day!
