Transition days Sept 2020

We can't wait to welcome you to Middlefield in September.  Please find below some further information on your transition sessions.  If you have any further questions, please contact the school office.

W/c 7th September - Stay and Play (2x 1 hour sessions in groups of 15)

These are very informal sessions for the children to get to know us, each other and the school environment. Under normal circumstances, these sessions would've taken place in June/July and parents would have stayed too. Under the current guidance, we will only be able to allow the children into school this year.  They do not need to wear uniform for these sessions. Please bring your child to the KS1 Playground gate (Bishops Road). A member of staff will unlock the gate and you can bring your child to the Reception class door. Please do not enter the cloakroom or classroom with your child.

W/c 14th September - Morning/Afternoon Sessions

Please arrive at the KS1 Playground gate with your child in school uniform. The gate will be opened at the end of each session and you can collect your child from the EYFS class door. Lunch will not be included in these sessions.

W/c 21st September - Half day sessions (30 children)

Please arrive at the KS1 Playground gate with your child in school uniform. The gate will be opened at the end of the session and you can collect your child from the EYFS Class door. Lunch will be included in these sessions. Please show your child the menu if they wish to have a hot dinner and we will ask them each day what they would like to eat. Alternatively, please send in a packed lunch.

W/c 28th September - Full Time (30 children)

Due to the current guidance, we have to stagger our school arrival and departure times. Therefore, the EYFS school day will be from 9am-3pm until further notice. Please can your child wear their uniform and bring PE kits and wellies to leave in school. At this time, you will be able to access the school via either the Bishops Road or Andrew Road entrances and bring your child to the EYFS class door. This is also where they will be collected from at the end of the day. As we mentioned previously, if you feel your child is not ready to be in school full time, they may continue being collected after lunch until October half term. Please speak to us if you would like your child to remain part time.
