WW1 100 years

In Ash Class, the children have researched into World War 1 and considered what life was like as a child, conditions in the trenches and we had a class discussion about how we commemorate and remember. The children have also been very creative and made some excellent poppy pictures (some can be seen in the entrance of the school on the display board) and we have written spine poems based on an image of the trenches. We focused on our use of adjectives, verbs and adverbs to ensure the poem reflected our thoughts and feelings.
