Computing
We worked in pairs to build a maze from Lego and then wrote an algorithm to explain how to navigate through it. We found that instead of: ‘move forward’, ‘move forward’, ‘move forward’, we could instead have: ‘repeat three times: move forward’, which would be more efficient. This is known as a loop. We then used a computer and played ‘Coding for Carrots’. We supported our learning by visualising the bunny’s movements and tried to find faster, more efficient routes through our mazes.
Science
In our Science lesson, we went on a hunt for micro-habitats. We talked about the different types of creatures that we found there and described the different micro-habitats we discovered.
Art
We used the work of artist Zaria Forman to inspire our own artwork. We listened to some music and talked about how we could represent the watery sound in our own work. We found a range of materials we could use to represent the sea and considered the colours we chose carefully. We made sure to vary the types of lines that we used, incorporating dark/light, thick/thin, wavy/straight and broken lines.
⚽️ Prokick Challenge ⚽️
Well done to everyone for completing the Prokick Challenge! It was lovey to see how supportive the children were of each other. There were a few sore throats after all the cheering.
