W/C 9th November 2020
This week our woodland floor has been covered with beautiful autumnal leaves. The children have been busy working in teams to see who can rake and collect the heaviest bag. Over the next 12 months the leaves will decompose into leaf mulch, we will use this at our allotment. We will be adding last years leaf mulch to our rhubarb plants soon.
On Wednesday, during their Forest School session, children in EYFS observed the 2 minute silence.
W/C 2nd November 2020
Firstly, we would like to say a big thank you to the PTA who kindly purchased 500 daffodil bulbs for us.
Every child within the school will plant 2 bulbs each. We are all hoping that in spring the bulbs will bloom into beautiful flowers and the children can cut and take home. Areas planted so far include our wildlife pond (Year 5), orchard (Year 2) and forest school area (Year 4). While planting we have had many discussion on how and what the bulbs will need to grow into mature plants. We are now all waiting eagerly for spring!
