RE
Right to Withdraw from Religious Education (RE)
At our school, Religious Education (RE) is an important part of the curriculum and provides children with opportunities to learn about a range of religions, beliefs and worldviews. RE helps pupils develop understanding, respect and awareness of different cultures and traditions.
However, parents and carers have the legal right to withdraw their child from all or part of Religious Education. If you wish to exercise this right, please contact the school to discuss your request with the Headteacher. We will be happy to talk through the RE curriculum and the arrangements that would be made for your child during RE lessons.
Requests for withdrawal should be made in writing to the school office. Alternative arrangements will be discussed and agreed on an individual basis.
