December
Wow that was a busy few weeks we have had. We are all ready for a well earned Christmas break.
We have been so busy with all the lovely Christmas activities but we have managed to squeeze lots of learning in too.
We started December off with a special assembly to hang our decorations we made at home.
For music and any chance we could we practiced all of our songs for the Prickly hay nativity. What a fantastic job they all did with that.
In maths we have been learning the different names for 3D and 2D shapes. We also looked at different ways we can sort them in to groups. We noticed that 3D shapes can be made up from 2D shapes.
In DT we made a smoothie with different fruits and vegetables and designed the carton for our smoothie of choice. We talked about the flavours we could taste in our smoothies and some of us were lucky to try both flavours. We all preferred the green smoothie which had some hidden spinach in there.
Science we have been continuing to look at materials and for this lesson we tested how tough a selection of materials were. The children were challenged to pull apart the materials.
