We have continued to explore materials in science and the last 2 weeks we have looked at if the materials are waterproof or not waterproof. We tested different materials in experiments and made predictions on if we thought the materials would absorb the water or not.
In music we have been learning about pulse and rhythms using our bodies, voices and musical instruments. We practiced dancing to the beat of music and by playing the name game.
we have also made a start on singing practice for our Christmas performance.
In DT (cooking and nutrition) we are learning all about fruits and vegetables and where they grow. We organised our fruits and vegetables in to the correct groups and played a who am I game. We then looked at if they grow on trees or vines, above or under the ground. We noticed that fruits all grow on trees or vines and they all have seeds. Did you know a pumpkin is a fruit?
We celebrated green day on the 2nd November where we swapped toys with our friends. We then looked at different ways we can recycle our rubbish playing a fun game of sorting rubbish in to the correct recycle bins.
In science the children have been looking at materials and what different objects are made from. We had to sort a box of objects into the correct materials.
we then searched for different materials around the classroom.
In maths we have been looking at finding a part in a number. Our partner had to tell us the total number of blocks they had altogether, then show us how many blocks in one hand while the other part was hidden. We then needed to work out what was the hidden number of blocks.
