Snow Day Fun!
We loved exploring the snow and using a variety of tools, including spades, spoons, scoops, bowls and cups. We enjoyed using the snow in our mud kitchen to make snow pies, as well as building snow castles. We also had fun mark-making in the snow using our fingers and sticks, creating lots of exciting patterns and shapes.
Safari Stu
We were so excited to see Safari Stu in our classroom with lots of animals. We enjoyed seeing a tortoise, a skunk, skinny pigs, snakes, and many more!
Outdoor learning
We had our very first outdoor visit to the woodlands and pond. We loved exploring the woods and discovering insects linked to our topic this term, Amazing Animals. We were also excited to learn where our leftover snacks go by exploring the compost area and finding out what happens to food waste. We ended our session with a visit to the pond, where we discussed pond safety and learned how deep it is, including that some areas are deeper than others.
Amazing animals
We explored jungle animals as part of our Amazing Animals topic. We made colourful animal masks, painted fierce jungle lions, and built snake patterns using coloured bricks. We also enjoyed making rain shakers and filling them with rice, linking our creative work to our maths learning about capacity.
