Sports Event
We had a wonderful time competing in our last ever DLPT Sports Event. They participated with determination, played well, and showed excellent sportsmanship. We were especially proud to receive compliments from adults from other schools, who praised the children for their positive attitude and respectful behaviour.
DT
In our DT lessons, we have been exploring design briefs and design criteria. We designed a multipurpose tool for hikers and explorers to use on their adventures, rather than needing to purchase several different tools for individual tasks. We then used Micro:bit software to program features such as a pedometer and a compass, helping to make our designs both practical and interactive.
SATs
Who says SATs week is boring???
A huge well done to every single member of Year 6. They worked incredibly hard and truly showed off everything they have learned.
Science
In our Science lessons, we have been focusing on building and developing electrical circuits using batteries, bulbs, and switches. We explored how to create complete circuits and investigated what happens when components are added or removed. We investigated electrical resistance and discovered how adding more bulbs to a circuit can reduce the brightness of each bulb, while fewer bulbs can make them shine more brightly.
