We are continuing our work linked to animals and have been enjoying the book 'Rumble in the Jungle'. We have noticed that this is a rhyming book with each animal having its own short poem dedicated to it. The children particularly enjoyed playing guess the animal games where we tried to give clues for each animal on the page; the giant gorilla has been a favourite.
In maths we have been exploring numbers 6, 7 and 8 and have even started looking at odd, evens and doubling numbers. We have been busy playing lots of games to help support our mathematical learning and language skills.
In PE this half term, the children have been working on their throwing and catching skills. We started by learning how to keep control of a ball by rolling it and later in the term progressed to throwing, catching and even bouncing the ball. It’s been a lot of fun and the children have made great progress.
