Maths
In Maths, we have been learning all about multiplication and division! We started by counting in twos, fives and tens. Spotting interesting patterns as we plotted them on our 100 squares!
We have also been learning more about recognising and adding equal groups together. We were even able to link our knowledge of commutative to this! We found that if you swap the value of amount of groups with the value within each group, your overall total will stay the same!

Science
In Science, we are learning all about plants. Their variety, structure and how they work!
We have embarked on plant scavenger hunts to better understand the variety of plants of plants that exist and have even started our own investigation.
Our investigation is labelled ‘Do plants need water to grow?’ We are using our super science skills of: Observing over time; Comparative and fair testing; and spotting patterns to try our best to answer this intriguing question!

Art
Our Art lessons have been all about Colour! Learning more about the primary and secondary colours, how they work together in pieces of art and how other artists have used them in their own creations!
We have taken a particular interest in Jasper Johns and his famous piece called ‘Numbers in Colour.’ We even had a go at our own interpretations of this in class. Check some of them out below!
