March
Spring has sprung and we are all looking forward to this half term with lots of great learning ahead of us. Our topic this half term is ‘Come Outside’ and our focus texts will give us the opportunity to explore the world around us more closely. It is also a great time to get outside and to see the change in seasons happening right in front of us. The children are doing a fabulous job at looking after our discovery garden.

It’s Shrove Tuesday! We have been busy in reception learning all about pancake day and lent. We spent time thinking about why people might fast during this season in the lead up to Easter. Then we found a recipe to follow and made our own pancakes. The children worked as a team to make their pancakes and of course enjoyed tasting them.
In PE we are working on developing a range of movement skills including running, jumping, crawling, balancing, throwing and catching. The children are really enjoying working with their friends and are developing their independence skills whilst working through the circuit of activities.
