Summer term
Grafham residential trip
During April we had the most amazing residential trip to Grafham Water Activity Centre.
We spent 3 full days and 2 nights there sharing rooms with our friends. This was great fun and needless to say, we didn't get much sleep. We had delicious breakfasts everyday to get us set up for all of the activities that we were going to be doing. We climbed the climbing walls and Jacobs ladder, splashed about on Kayaks/paddleboards and sailing boats and honed our skills with archery bows and arrows! It was a fantastic opportunity for us to safely push ourselves out of our comfort zone and we all had a great time.
Outdoor learning
Maths
Using nearpod we explored decimals. This was a fun, interactive way to look at the relationships between whole numbers and decimals. We have been looking at dividing whole numbers by 10 and used place value grids to help us.
English
We have started to look at our new reading book for this half term. It is called The Boy at The Back of The Class.
Science
Our science topic for this term is sound. We experimented with different objects to hear what kind of sound they made and to explore whether or not we could see anything whilst the noise was happening. We looked in more detail at soundwaves and how sound travels.
