Wow - what a busy start to the Spring Term! We have been using exciting vocabulary to write our own acrostic poems about stars, mapped out what our own book trailer might look like, had a fabulous Ancient Egyptian Day experience and began our new class book! Art: In this lesson the children were busy making their own papyrus paper! The children used similar techniques to the ancient methods to create this. Later in the term, the children will use this to create art in the style of the ancient Egyptians

Developing a new character to fit into the story ‘The Day The Crayons Came Home’
History: The children were developing their understanding of chronology in this lesson whilst learning about who the ancient Egyptians were and when they lived. The children also had to use some maths skills to help create the timeline, thinking about increments, scale and measurement.
