Over the past couple of weeks, we have enjoyed choosing from a selection of new reading books that were unveiled by Mr Smith!
In maths, we have been partitioning numbers to 1000 in a range of different ways, ordering a selection of numbers and finding missing numbers on a given number line. Can you challenge us to order a selection of numbers?
In English, we have been challenging our use of vocabulary when writing persuasive letters from the Green Ship. We all enjoyed using known, and new, persuasive techniques! We also looked at word classes focusing on: nouns, proper nouns and pronouns.
During Outdoor Learning, we shared our knowledge about trees such as, 'Evergreens have leaves all year long' and 'Deciduous trees lose their leaves in the winter and they grow back in the spring.' We enjoyed learning how to identify different trees using information about their growing habits, bark colour, leaf shape and berries, fruits or seeds that might be visible on the trees.
