WELCOME TO YEAR 3!

A very warm welcome to the Earhart Class page. We will endeavour to update this page regularly with news and events from our classroom. We have some very exciting topics to cover this year and we're thoroughly looking forward to working with the children and their parents to make the learning journey as engaging, beneficial and memorable as possible.

We have had a really busy start to Year 3!
 

So far, we have begun our new class book The Green Ship. During our English lessons, we have written stories about a section of the book using role play to help us - we really enjoyed this! In maths, we have partitioned numbers to 100 in different ways. In our art lessons, we have begun to recognise how artists use shape to help them draw - we even became artists ourselves for the afternoon. During our Outdoor Learning, we spent time sorting lots of wonderful seeds into categories - these have kindly been donated to us and we can’t wait to get growing them!
 

Although we have all grown taller over the summer break, the sunflowers have grown taller still!
