November 2023
Welcome back for Autumn 2, in this term we will be starting some new topics in our foundation subjects. We will be starting a Geography topic where the children will be delving into Antarctica. In religious education, we will be looking at what makes us human and using the Buddhist teachings to answer the question 'Do we have a soul?'. In design and technology, we will be very busy learning how to cross stitch and appliqué and also designing and creating a castle. Finally, to help with our Christmas carols that we will be singing at the Christmas fair and at the church with other schools in the Trust, we will be belting out ballads in Music.

Scary Writing
In Exciting Writing this week, we focused on writing a Halloween piece about being in a scary, haunted house. The children were so enthusiastic when coming up with ideas and it shows in their fantastic pieces of writing. I have uploaded some below.
Art - Growing Artists
The children made their own Georgia O’Keefe, inspired abstract drawings in their sketchbook. They started by drawing a simple abstract flower and then went into more detail, and added colour with pastels.
